When missing adequate lunch options…

Luckily, there is always the blue truck on campus.

It’s almost hilarious how their food is blatantly neither fresh nor healthy, still it’s written all over the truck.

Bam.

Have a good day everyone – and choose your lunch critically😉

I remember seeing a truck like this (some years ago) in Kingston, Ontario, usually in the Queen’s University area.

Most students “love” fast food (fixing a meal cuts into time for other activities), and the “Fresh & Healthy” keeps the little admonishing-voices of Grandma and Mom at bay.

    • yes, it’s still standing right there on campus… and yes, I wonder about the long line infront of the truck everytime I see it.

That’s my Papa Frank! He tells me your blog is awesome–I’m going to have to get caught up!😀 xx

      • Really?🙂 Yay, that makes me so happy to hear. Is he a Queen’s alumni then? I love your blog as well, it’s so interesting to read about your vegan adventures in LN! Like I sad, I wasn’t half as adventurous as you when I was there. I love exploring Canada now though, it’s such an interesting country.

What a small world it is… I made comment on your blog, and then find your comment on my daughter’s blog… so I mentioned to her that I had commented here…

No, not a Queen’s alumni, sorry to disappoint. Over thirty years, my work had me in the Kingston area on a periodic basis. Last time in the area was summer of 2008.

I saw the above mentioned “blue truck” often enough, as I found it was easier to get to the Cataraqui Centre going through Queen’s (despite the larger quantity of pedestrian traffic) than it was to fight through traffic going out Queen/Princess Street from the Fort Henry side of the Causeway.

    Cheers!

    • Oh no not disappointed at all, I was just wondering because you were able to locate it so perfectly well😉 Yes it is a really small world.. in a good way, though. Good to hear from both you and your daughter! Have a lovely weekend!
